Retailers rush to Riverlea as Walker secures major signings
Walker Corporation and Coles Supermarkets today announced a brand new store will open in the heart of Riverlea at The Palms Shopping Village, bringing convenience retail to thousands of families in South Australia’s fastest growing masterplanned community.

ViewPriceline Pharmacy and Paisley Park Early Learning Centre have also signed long-term lease agreements with Walker Corporation ensuring Riverlea residents will have ready access to essential health and childcare services.

Coles supermarket and an adjoining Liquorland will occupy 3,500 square metres of premium retail space in The Palms Shopping Village. This new generation Coles will also include click and collect services.

The Palms Shopping Village is targeted to open in mid-2026, creating over 150 local jobs during construction and approximately 200 permanent and part-time local jobs upon opening.
When complete, the $100 million Palms Shopping Village will include over 25 specialty stores, an alfresco dining precinct and parking for over 400 cars on the corner of Central Drive and Riverlea Boulevard.
Wesfarmers Health Retail Director Richard Pearson says the move to Riverlea will accelerate Priceline’s growth in South Australia.
“Health and wellbeing are a top priority in every community and that’s why we want to be front and centre in Riverlea,” Mr Pearson said.
“Priceline Pharmacy will be a convenient one-stop shop for Riverlea residents needing professional health advice, scripts, or easy access to thousands of market-leading health and beauty products through ‘Sister Club’, Australia’s largest health and beauty loyalty program.”

Paisley Park Early Learning Centre Co-founder and Director Peter Raue said they are excited to bring South Australia’s leading early learning brand to Riverlea, giving families with children aged six weeks to six years access to premium childcare services close to home.
“Paisley Park set a new standard in early learning when we opened in South Australia five years ago, so we’re excited to open our centre in Riverlea where Walker is creating an incredible new community,” Mr Raue said.
"Quality early learning is vital for our communities, giving parents peace of mind when they go to work that their children are being cared for by dedicated educators and developing essential skills."
Enabling works and services have already commenced onsite with building works set to commence in January 2025.
