Walker make a big splash to celebrate two years of success at Riverlea
Walker is celebrating two years of success at South Australia’s most popular masterplanned community Riverlea, turning on the fountains to open the grand entry lakes. Walker Executive Chairman Lang Walker AO said his team has had a remarkable journey so far, delivering strong foundations for the 12,000-home pipeline, which will eventually house 40,000 residents.

Walker has spent over $25 million on the entry lakes and landscaping at Riverlea so far, with over 40,000 plants maturing and 70,000sqm of turf laid—the equivalent of four Adelaide ovals.
Since the first sod was turned in February 2021, 800,000m3 of soil has been shifted at Riverlea.
Playford City Council Mayor Glenn Docherty helped cut the ribbon on the launch of the entry lakes and said he’s been proud to welcome so many new residents to the area.

There is a big focus on strong education for families, with four state and independent schools planned for Riverlea.
Driving into the city and beyond has been made easy with the new Northern Connector reducing a journey to just 25 minutes from Riverlea to the Adelaide CBD.
A healthy heart smart community is also a priority at Riverlea with sport facilities and ovals alongside 450 hectares of parkland and open space, with 50 hectares of lakes, surrounded by 42km of recreation trails with bike paths and running tracks – there is something for everyone.
New stages are being released in the coming months at Riverlea ahead of a new display world opening in May, featuring homes from some of South Australia’s most trusted builders.
